Treaty 8, Fort McMurray 468 First Nation (FMFN468), through its Industry & Government Relations Corporation (IGRC), is committed to strengthening the social, cultural, and economic well-being of the Nation.

As advocates for the community, we steward and monitor mutually beneficial agreements (MBAs) with industry and all levels of government—federal, provincial, and municipal. IGRC collaborates with partners to meet consultation and regulatory requirements, while assessing development impacts on FMFN468's traditional territory and promoting the protection of the Nation's rights and benefits.

Our team connects the FMFN468 community with government and industry on regulatory matters. IGRC provides capacity for consultation, policy, and program development in support of the Nation.

We work to ensure regulatory certainty, compliance, responsible land use, environmental stewardship, and effective mitigation strategies.

Mission/Mandate
As an advocate of FMFN468, the IGRC provides a one-window approach to engage, consult and collaborate with industry, government and stakeholders.

To achieve greater alignment with the Nation’s overall vision and mandate. IGRC has created a model that supports FMFN468's five outcomes. (see image below).

Foster and maintain all relationships based on truth, trust, respect, and integrity.

Care and preservation of FMFN468’s constitutionally protected Aboriginal and Treaty Rights and Interests, including Culture.

Always raise the bar to meet leading standards within the region (especially in community); never settle for the status quo, and always provide solutions.
