Fort McMurray 468 First Nation (FMFN) is delighted to share that our transformative water and sewer infrastructure project has been highlighted in a recent feature by Environmental Science & Engineering Magazine (ESEMAG). This coverage emphasizes our Nation’s strategic steps towards building a sustainable and self-sufficient community, guided by a vision that intertwines cultural, economic, and environmental aspects.

The project, crucial for FMFN’s progress, is not only about upgrading physical infrastructure but also about enhancing the quality of life for our members. It reflects our commitment to providing reliable services and showcases the substantial strides made in community development and planning.

We are especially proud that the article honors our dedicated personnel who are pivotal to the project’s success, including our band member and water plant operator trainee, Corey Wiltzen, and the commendable Ryan Laboucan. Their stories of growth and development mirror the community-wide benefits this project brings.

The detailed article can be found on pages 30-34 in the latest edition of ESEMAG, available online here.

As we continue to make headway on this vital project, FMFN looks forward to further milestones that reinforce our mission towards a vibrant and thriving future for all our members.
